Day 9

22 km / 7 hours

It is somewhat galling to realise that this day was further than the previous in terms of kilometres but much quicker and easier. It was all road walking; from the campsite to the next campsite. As a result I don’t have a huge amount to say, it was primarily a standard road walk although it was nicer as it went along.

One thing there is to say was about the morning which was brutally cold with frost on the grass and tent. The mornings should be the best time when you’re full of energy and excited for the day to come but when it’s so cold it’s hard to do anything other than shiver.
