Mobile blogging

I am currently writing this on my phone keyboard, on the mobile version of vscode and updating the markdown manually. To be clear this is very inconvenient but I don’t need this to be easy, just manageable.

It would be easier if I had a better editor, perhaps I should try editing it separately and copy pasting the text in. Will try looking for an app that improves this since vscode isn’t designed for writing on mobile… No matter what writing text on mobile will never be a pleasant experience though. My plan is to write on pen and paper first then only transcribe once I’m happy with it.

It’s also inconvenient to have to check the GitHub actions for the repository to make sure it’s built correctly, theoretically I could use GitHub codespaces to run things online but that seems like even more of a pain.

I suppose the simplest system would be to use an existing platform with a mobile app designed for it but I wanted one that was free and could use my custom domain which I couldn’t find a good option for. I do get that it costs money to run these things and using Microsoft services is costly in other ways but I think this is just the most practical solution for now.

Whatever happens, I’ll try to keep posting; mainly for myself to dump my thoughts out so they’re not totally stuck swirling around in my head.
